The Chamber of Deputies of the Brazilian Parliament today held a special session to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising against the Nazi forces. The Chamber adopted a statement condemning the “resurgence of neo-Nazism in various countries.” The statement was introduced by Deputy Emanuel Weissman.
A separate service marking the anniversary was conducted solemnly here by the Rio de Janeiro Federation of Jewish Institutions. Several smaller memorial services were also held by a number of Jewish groups here.
