Josef Rosensaft, president of the Bergen-Belsen Survivors Association, protested today at the organization’s 21st annual meeting here that "in the concentration camps, we heard the music of Wagner and Strauss, and now we are to hear it again in Israel."

He referred to a public debate which developed when the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra announced last month that it would schedule the music of the two German compsoers whose works have been proscribed in Israel since it was founded. He also called on Israeli authorities to make the Yad Vashem, the Memorial to the Victims of the Nazi holocaust, barred to German visitors. Yaacov Tsur, chairman of the World Zionist Actions Committee, also addressed the meeting.
