A British Jewish leader warned today against both complacency about evidence of a resurgence of neo-Nazism in West Germany and hysteria over the fact that “eight percent of the West German electorate voted for neo-Nazi parties.”
The warning was made by Harold Sebag-Montefiore, president of the Anglo-Jewish Association in an address to the AJA Council. He also expressed concern over unrest in the Middle East and said the time had come for Israel and the Arab rulers to sit down to a peace conference.
