Three Teenagers Proclaimed Winners of Jewish Agency’s Bible Contest in U.S.

Two boys and a girl were the winners here in the eighth annual National Bible Contest sponsored by the Department of Education and Culture of the Jewish Agency for Israel, it was announced today. There were 91 contestants in all in the competition from the United States and Canada. The winners are given trips to Israel.

The three winners are: Howard Koenig of Brooklyn, 14-1/2 years old, winner among the 26 finalists in the advanced Hebrew competition; Jeremy Milgrom, Berkeley, Calif., 14, winner over 26 other competitors in the intermediate Hebrew competition; and Laura Brown, 14-1/2, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, winner over 37 contestants in the comprehensive English competition.
