King Baudouin of Belgium today conferred the distinction of Grand Officer of the Order of Couronne on Leo Maiersdorf, a prominent member of the Brussels Jewish Community. The award was granted on the recommendations of the Belgian Government. It was presented to Mr. Maiersdorf at a special function by Prime Minister P. Vanden Boeynants who paid tribute to the Jewish leader’s social and communal activities.
