A Jewish writer and poet, David Sfard, arrived here yesterday from Poland to settle in Israel with his wife and son. Mr. Sfard was formerly deputy chairman of the Jewish Cultural Association in Warsaw and edited Yiddishe Shriften, a magazine.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
