Two American students who arrived here from Copenhagen today said they were well treated by Sudanese authorities when their Danish air liner was detained at Khartoum Monday while on a flight from Nairobi to Copenhagen. The plane carried 78 students including 13 Americans and an Israeli girl married to one of the latter. It was seized briefly in the Sudanese capital on grounds that it was due to stop at Tel Aviv in violation of the Arab boycott against Israel. The plane and all of its passengers were released Tuesday when the Sudanese were convinced that it was routed via Cyprus.
