President Nasser of Egypt told a wildly cheering crowd of Libyans at Benghazi that the Arab world “feels deep inside that what was taken by force cannot be regained except by force.”

Tens of thousands jammed a sports stadium to hear Nasser proclaim that “the Arab nation has decided to liberate what was taken by force.” He referred to Israeli-occupied territories. Nasser praised the Libyan leftist revolution and complimented Libya for ousting the United States from Wheelus Air Base.
