Plans for cultural activities as well as humanitarian aid for the poorer Jewish communities on the Continent were made by the European Council of Jewish Community Services meeting here today. The meeting will continue tomorrow. Claude Kelman of Paris, Council Chairman, noted that the organization, founded in 1960, was entering its second decade. He said the Institute for Jewish Studies in Paris was a success and similar ventures are being considered in other European centers. He reported that the Council was sponsoring a special course at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem to prepare teachers and civil servants for posts in European Jewish communities. He said there were 13 students enrolled in the course which is taught by Dr. Hanoch Rinot.
