The General Assembly has approved unanimously a resolution condemning Nazism and other forms of racial intolerance–after Israel had joined with the Soviet Union and the Arab bloc in an unsuccessful attempt to retain the word “neo-Nazi.” The United States, Britain and France voted to delete it. The resolution passed by 108 to 0, with 6 abstentions. The Assembly also voted in favor of arrest and extradition of war criminals and to continue the work of the Ceylon-Somalia-Yugoslavia committee investigating Israeli practices in the occupied Arab territories.
