Transport Minister Shimon Peres said last night that he would not accept the Finance Ministry’s proposed $24 million cut in the development budget for transport projects in fiscal 1972. He said the proposals included a reduction of spending on Lydda Airport facilities from $16.6 million to $9.5 million which if carried out. would make it impossible for Lydda to handle the tourist traffic expected next year.
