Mrs. Charlotte Jacobson was elected today chairman of the American Section of the World Zionist Organization at its first meeting since the conclusion of the 28th World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem at which she was one of eight Americans elected to the 20-member World Executive.
A national president of Hadassah from 1964 to 1968, she was installed here in her new post by Louis Pincus, chairman of the WZO Executive. Mrs. Jacobson succeeds Dr. Emanuel Neumann, who retired from the World Zionist Executive after more than 25 years of service. Mrs. Jacobson has been a member of the Zionist Executive since the 27th World Zionist Congress.
