Fifty university students and professionals from Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait visited the Technion last Tuesday for three hours, the Israel Institute of Technology reported today. The students and professionals, in Israel under the Defense Department’s summer visitors program encouraging such travel, toured several advanced facilities, including the Computer Center and its IBM 370/165, the Middle East’s most powerful computer; physics laboratories featuring electronic teaching equipment and the Hydraulic Engineering Center.
