Seven hundred prominent scientists of the United Kingdom, US and Western Europe have signed an appeal to the Soviet government for emigration visas for Prof. Benjamin Levich of Moscow and his son, Dr. Yevgeny Levich who wish to go to Israel with their families. The appeal was disclosed today at a press conference held at the Imperial College of Science by seven British scientists. They drew attention to Levich’s plight since he applied for an exit visa and to his poor health. They said that 150 of the appeal’s signatories are Fellows of the Royal Society.
