Dayan: No Evidence Yet of Terrorist Involvement

Defense Minister Moshe Dayan told the Cabinet today that there was no definite proof as yet that Arab terrorists were involved in the murder of the Israeli Air Attache Col. Joseph Allon in Washington this morning. Gen. Dayan broke the news of the tragedy at the start of today’s Cabinet meeting.

Later in the session Foreign Minister Abba Eban read out a message of condolence he received from U.S. Secretary of State William. P. Rogers Rogers expressed shock and grief in the name of the Administration and assured Eban that U.S. authorities were making every effort to track down the perpetrators of the crime.
