David Suskind, the chief cantor of the Leningrad Synagogue, arrived here today with a group of immigrants from the Soviet Union. He told reporters that he had left a large family behind and that he was required to post a bond to assure that he would not make anti-Soviet statements when he arrived in Israel. He and the others were sent to an absorption center.
