More than 10,000 recent immigrants celebrated Chankah, some for the first time, in absorption centers throughout the country. The Jewish Agency and Ministry of Absorption conducted programs which included festive dinners, tours to Massada and Modiin, children’s parties and shows, and gatherings for the aged.
