Former Finance Minister Pinhas Sapir was elected tonight as the new chairman of the Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization Executives, succeeding the late Louis Pincus. Sapir, the only candidate, won the dual post by a substantial majority of 140 votes at the Jewish Agency General Assembly.
