A Greek translation of the Siddur Shaare Refiloty, the daily prayer book, has recently been published here. The translation was sponsored by the Central Council of the Jewish Communities of Greece (CCJOG). The traditional prayers, translated into Greek by Rabbi Isaac Mijan and Hebrew teacher Jacob Felous, “will be a valuable contribution in strengthening the religious feelings of Greece’s 5000 Jews,” a CCJOG spokesman said.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
