Fifty cash chairmen from communities throughout the United States will tour Israel March 13-20 for a critical analysis of the current fiscal crisis and its effect on the 1975 United Jewish Appeal campaign, Frank R, Lautenberg, UJA general chairman, announced today. “The role of the American Jewish community in funding social welfare projects is crucial for the maintenance of adequate living standards,” Lautenberg stated. “The 1975 Cash Mission will give campaign leaders a full understanding of the current situation and better equip them to communicate the urgent need for cash.” UJA National Cash Chairman Gerald S, Colburan will lead the mission which will meet with fiscal authorities representing the government and review the Jewish Agency budget.
