El Al technical foremen, observing a court order, ended their 24-hour “warning strike” ten hours ahead of schedule today, permitting the airline to resume its normal flight schedule this afternoon. The back to work order was handed down by a Tel Aviv District Labor Court at 2 a.m. local time and work in the El Al hangars was resumed at 4 a.m. But the foremen, whose signatures are required before any plane can take off, have not abandoned their wage demands.
