The trial of Jewish activist Lev Roitburd from Odessa which was scheduled to open Aug. 15, was postponed because “the judge is sick,” the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported here today. The trial of Anatoly Malkin, a 21-year-old Jewish activist from Kiev, is scheduled for today. He is being charged with “draft evasion” and if convicted faces up to three years in prison. The NCSJ also reported that the parents of Anna Gurevich, who is already in Israel, were granted exit visas and are scheduled to leave the Soviet Union on Aug. 20, Anna’s husband, Uri Vudka, is still in prison in the Soviet Union.
