Hundreds of basketball fans celebrated Mexico’s 90-77 defeat of Israel’s national basketball team here last night by tearing Israeli flags and showing open hostility to the Israeli athletes outside the arena. It was the Mexicans’ manner of taking revenge for Israel’s defeat of their own team in Tel Aviv several weeks ago.
