On Friday, a sea borne Israeli raiding party landed on the south Lebanese coast and attacked a terrorist vehicle on the road between Tyre and Sidon. The vehicle was destroyed and its four occupants were hit, a military communique said. It said the action was carried out under the present policy of pre-emptive strikes at terrorist targets to forestall hostile activities against Israel.
Lebanese radio stations reported Friday that Israeli naval craft attempted to land commandos in rubber dinghies and that three civilians were wounded in the ensuing skirmish.
