Following President Yitzhak Navon’s and President Anwar Sadat’s agreement to step up certain normalization procedures, a team of Egyptian officials arrived in Israel Monday for talks with Israeli counterparts. Headed by Ambassador Osmat Rida of the Cairo Foreign Ministry, the Egyptian delegation includes officials of the Transport Ministry and the Customs Authority. It will take up the issue of transporting goods across the land border crossing near El Arish.
