Cancer Kills Thousands in Israel

Cancer afflicts 8,500 Israelis each year, and 5,150 Israelis die of it annually, according to Health Minister Shoshana Arbelli-Almoslino. She said 30 percent of the cancer deaths were the result of smoking. Breast cancer accounted for 28 percent of the cancer cases among women.
