Court Upholds Moment of Silence

Georgia’s moment of silence law has been declared constitutional by a U.S. District Court.

Monday’s ruling by a judge in Atlanta came almost one year after a suburban Atlanta teacher walked off the job to protest a 60-second period of “quiet reflection.”

Brian Bown, the teacher, has vowed to appeal.
