Israel was abuzz this week with news that a top Israeli model and her boyfriend, celebrity hairdresser, whose clients included the prime minister and his wife, were found dead in a Jerusalem apartment.
Most all of the media ran the story about Anat Elimelech, 23, and David Afuta, 38, who were found in his apartment this week with gunshot wounds to the chest.
Police concluded from autopsies conducted Wednesday that Elimelech had shot Afuta and then herself.
Afuta had two bullet wounds in the rib cage, one fired point blank. Elimelech had a single bullet wound, fired point-blank, in her chest.
Police had no information regarding a motive.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reacting to initial reports of Afuta’s death, called it “shocking news.”
