Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai met in Florida with U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross hours before Ross was scheduled to departe for Israel to discuss an Israeli redeployment plan. Mordechai is slated to meet in Washington on Friday with Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to discuss the redeployment and an Israeli offer to withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon.
