The U.S. Supreme Court said it will decide what punitive damages should be levied on employers who discriminate against workers on the basis of religion, race or national origin. The justices will review an appeals court ruling that sharply narrowed the penalties that could be imposed on such employers. The high court said it would hear the case early next year, with a decision expected before July.
