Israeli Prime Minister Barak and Syrian President Hafez Assad may meet in Switzerland with President Clinton to achieve a “quick agreement,” according to the Arabic daily Asharq al-Awsat. The Saudi-owned paper quoted American and Swiss sources as saying a proposal for the summit is being seriously studied.
