Indiana Gov. Frank O’Bannon signed into law a bill allowing the posting of the 10 Commandments in schools and government offices. The law is scheduled to take effect July 1. O’Bannon, a Democrat, also said a monument featuring the commandments, the preamble to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, would be erected this summer in Indianapolis.
