Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak named a senior member of the Shin Bet as the domestic security service’s new head. Avraham Dichter will replace Ami Ayalon when the latter completes his four-year term. Dichter, 47, has held a number of senior positions in the Shin Bet and currently serves as its deputy chief.
