China’s president plans to visit Israel and the Palestinian self-rule areas in what will be the first such trip by a Chinese head of state. Jiang Zemin will make the visit during an April 12-27 trip that will also take him to Turkey, Greece and South Africa, a spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry said.
