Israeli police recommended that no charges be filed against Israeli President Ezer Weizman. Investigators said there is insufficient evidence to charge Weizman with taking bribes for receiving cash gifts from a French millionaire friend while serving as a Knesset member and Cabinet minister. Police said there is evidence to charge Weizman with breach of public trust, but the statute of limitations has expired.
