Syria renewed its support for Damascus-based Palestinian groups opposed to the peace process, according to one of the groups. A spokesman for the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine — General Command told Reuters that Syria’s vice president, Abdel-Halim Khaddam, expressed the support when he met with the group’s leader, George Habash.
