An Israeli delegation headed by Public Security Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami was due to leave for Washington to take part in intensive negotiations with the Palestinians. The sides agreed to hold discussions in the Washington area after U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s shuttle mission to the region last week.
