Israel and the Palestinians are playing down expectations for next week’s summit meeting. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said the chances were 50-50, “like the toss of a coin,” of reaching an agreement at the Camp David meeting. Palestinian officials predicted the summit would fail.
