Israeli President Moshe Katsav said Prime Minister Ehud Barak can engage in political discussions with the Palestinians, but must bring any agreement to the Knesset for approval or present it in a referendum to the public. Katsav was speaking after meeting with bereaved Israeli families who support peace efforts.
