Israel agreed to ease restrictions on Palestinians ahead of a U.S. envoy’s return to the region. The measures were to include removing Israeli roadblocks and curbs on travel between Palestinian towns and cities. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was responding to an American request to ease the restrictions ahead of U.S. envoy Anthony Zinni’s scheduled arrival Thursday.
