A New Jersey synagogue lent its sanctuary for Easter to a church whose building had burned down earlier last week. Some 150 people attended the Easter service of Jersey City’s Clair Memorial United Methodist Church. The service was held at nearby Temple Beth-El, one of the last synagogues serving the city’s aging Jewish population.
