A genealogical institute opened at the Center for Jewish History in New York. The institute provides free access to Ancestry.com, a fee-based Web site, while the center itself houses 100 million archival documents belonging to five Jewish institutions. The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
