The defense is preparing to present its case this week in the trial of a New Jersey rabbi charged with arranging the contract murder of his wife in 1994. Last week, the prosecution rested its case by rereading some of Rabbi Fred Neulander’s testimony from his first trial, in which he admitted to an affair and tried to explain what some have called his unemotional reaction when he found his wife’s body.
