Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat said he supports the U.S.-sponsored “road map” for peace “in principle,” but wants to confer with other Arab governments. Arafat made the comment Tuesday as a U.S. envoy, David Satterfield, held talks with Israeli officials about the plan.
