Jews should not overreact to the rise of anti-Semitism worldwide, a prominent Jewish social critic told the annual conference of the North American Jewish federation system. Jews shouldn’t think each act of anti-Semitism is reminiscent of the one before it, Leon Wieseltier, literary editor of The New Republic, said at the closing session of the United Jewish Communities’ General Assembly last Friday.
