A U.S. court rejected a petition to rehear a case about a Sabbath boundary in Tenafly, N.J. Last week’s decision upheld a ruling that allowed the boundary, or eruv, to be created, the New Jersey Jewish News reported. According to Jewish tradition, an eruv establishes a perimeter within which observant Jews can carry objects on the Sabbath.
