If Israel’s Labor Party were led by former Prime Minister Shimon Peres, it could close the gap with the Likud in the upcoming election, according to a new poll. The poll, which appeared Monday in the Israeli daily Ma’ariv, said a Labor Party led by Peres could win 29 seats in the Knesset, compared with 30 for Likud.
