The White House pressed the Palestinian Authority to crack down on terrorist groups. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Wednesday that the “only way we can continue to move forward is for all parties to take the responsibility of dismantling terrorist organizations seriously and acting on it.” Speaking near President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, McClellan said Israel has the right to defend itself against a “vicious attack on innocent civilians.”
