A new off-Broadway play about the 1991 Crown Heights riots between blacks and religious Jews portrays Jews as the instigators. “Crown Heights,” by Dan Friedman and Fred Newman, tells of a rabbi’s car striking a young black child and shows a young African-American later accidentally stabbing a rabbinical student to death after being beaten by Jews, the New York Sun reported.
