Palestinian attacks within Israel’s pre-1967 borders are a mistake, Yasser Arafat’s security adviser said. “There is no reason to try to justify and to give any legitimacy to such terror attacks,” Jibril Rajoub told American Jewish Committee delegates in Jerusalem on Tuesday. But Rajoub made it clear that, like most Palestinians, he considers attacks on Israeli settlers legitimate, saying Israel must remove all settlements from the West Bank and Gaza Strip if it wants peace.
